I’m on a bit of a back-to-basics kick lately. I hope I’m not putting my dear readers to sleep. Believe me, I’ve been experimenting with crazy “innovative” snacks. But they’ve all been bombs. Sometimes I need to whip up something more predictable so my kids will not mount a rebellion.

3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
1 teaspoon dried dill
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
In a small mixing bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Serve with carrot sticks and the like. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Yield: 1 cup
