I just made these this afternoon and my two little ones were eating them almost as fast as I was rolling them into balls. I think that makes them a hit. I used PB instead of almond butter and they turned out great.

I have yet to work with sunbutter. But I imagine it and peanut butter would be fine. The consistancy is what's important...sort of oily, but substanial goo.

So want to make these for my guys. Hey, do you think they would work with sunflower butter? My Noah's school is nut-free, but I still like to send treats...

Also, for at home snacks, can I use peanut butter?

I tried about 20 different recipes for pb balls before I came up with this one. It feels like it is rightly my own, but there certainly might be one just like it out there. I don't have the Up With People cookbook. I'll have to check it out.

This recipe is fantastic. What fond memories - My mom used to make something like this too. If I remember right, it was some kind of hippie cook book (or Up with People cook book - Is that possible?) I am tucking this recipe away. Thanks!
