Is the ketchup for flavor, or just a coloring agent? BTW, you can put tomato paste in ice cube trays (or baby food containers used for home made baby food), then freeze. I do anything I can to avoid opening a jar of tomato paste for only one tablespoon. The rest just ends up getting moldy in the fridge. I did use homemade ketchup which made it a little less frightening. But I bet it would work with whatever you've got. It’s only a tablespoon.
