Dried fruits are a fabulously tasty source of natural sweetness that young and old can appreciate. It’s always a good idea to serve dried fruits in combination with other foods in order to lighten the sugar load.¬† Also, be aware that the concentrated nature of dried fruits mean that choosing organic is a good idea since you’d probably rather not be ingesting concentrated pesticides along with the yumminess. Lastly,¬†remember to brush your teeth afterwards as the sticky sweet goodness has a way of encouraging cavities.
